New DC PRO-X Headset with Advanced Technology and Supra-Aural Design

David Clark Company, Worcester, MA, introduces its new DC PRO-X aviation headset featuring a supra-aural (rest-on-ear) design, Hybrid Electronic Noise-Cancelling (ENC) and Bluetooth® wireless technology. The technologically advanced and intelligently designed DC PRO-X features a magnesium alloy suspension system that is super durable, yet extremely light weight at just 7.5 oz. It is ideal for both commercial and general aviation pilots.

Hybrid ENC is key to the sound performance of the DC PRO-X, featuring an external microphone (feed-forward) and a second internal microphone (feed-back) performance for superior active noise reduction. The DC PRO-X also provides high-fidelity audio for superior communications and music listening with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) generated by its sleek, battery-powered control module. Crystal clear communication is afforded by the headset’s M-55 electret microphone with enhanced noise cancelling. As with all David Clark Company ENC headsets, the DC PRO-X features dual voice coil drivers to provide fail-safe operation in the event of battery loss.

The DC PRO-X is also equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology that provides seamless integration for connecting to cell phones, MP3, tablets or other personal electronic devices. Comfort features include plush, ‘Dura-Stitched’ leatherette ear seals and a low-profile leatherette head pad with breathable, vented design to eliminate discomfort caused by heat build-up.

The compact, in-line control module features a backlit, touch-key user interface controls for switching the unit On/Off, connecting to Bluetooth wireless technology and controlling volume at independent levels in each ear. The DC PRO-X features a collapsible design for compact storage in the David Clark headset bag included with each unit.
